Quick At-Home Workout

by Jen on January 16, 2012

Good morning!  Is it Monday already?  It’s FA-REEZING here.  Winter decided to show up with a vengeance this week.

Did you have a good weekend?  Mine was a little lazy.  We didn’t have much planned on Saturday, either than getting the boys haircuts.  In the afternoon, I mostly sat on the couch and read magazines.  However, around 3:00, I was feeling tired and lazy.  I needed a little pick me up.  So I decided to do a quick 15 minute workout in the living room.  Here is what I did:

I did this circuit 3 times for a total of 15 minutes.

By the end of it, my heart rate was up and I was starting to sweat a little!  But most importantly, I felt invigorated again.

The best thing about this workout is that you don’t need any equipment!  You can bust it out right in your living room…my kids were even joining in on the fun!

The next time you need a little afternoon pick-me-up, try this quick routine!

Exactly! And we won’t regret it like we would sugar or caffeine!

Nice one. I often will put a 15 minute HIIT or circuit workout in the workouts I assign to my training clients because even when they claim they are too busy to workout they can easily find 15 minutes to bust out a workout, and every little bit helps!

Exactly! And they don’t have the excuse of not being able to go to the gym!

Very true Lori…we reply too much on sugar and caffeine! But the truth is, exercise gives us the most energy 🙂

Me too, Jen! I always need a quick pick-me-up at that time. Hmmm..maybe it’s because we have 3 little boys 😉
