My Top Fitness Gifts

by Jen on December 14, 2012

Only 11 more days until Christmas…say what?  I am not ready at all.

However, I have given my Christmas wish list to my loved ones.  And I bet you can guess that most of my items involve fitness!  So here are my top fitness gifts, gifts you may want to give to someone or else ask for yourself:

I used to wear a Bodybugg to track my calories, steps, etc.  But after a year of wearing that ugly band around my arm, I decided to stop.  Not only was it annoying to wear, it was expensive to keep your membership “active”.

That’s when I decided to check out the Fitbit.

Basically, the Fitbit is a little tracking device that records your calories burned, steps and distance, activity levels, etc.  The great thing is you can wear it in your pocket so no one sees it!  Plus, you don’t have to pay a yearly fee to use the website, it’s FREE!  I’ve had mine for almost a year and I love it.  I use it all the time to make sure I reach my 10,000 steps per day.

Want to know what I want for Christmas this year?  A new workout program!  I love working out at home.  I don’t have to drive to the gym, I don’t pay a yearly membership fee, I don’t have to deal with all the germs lurking about the gym at this time of year, etc…

Some of my favorites:

TurboFire (which is on sale right now!)

I love a good water bottle, but with the recent BPA scare, I’m cautious about what I buy.  I found this one at my local health food store a while ago and I love it!  It’s glass, so I don’t have to worry about chemicals leaking into my water, plus it has a grippy sleeve so I don’t drop it!

It’s no secret I LOVE Lululemon.  I not only wear it for my workouts, I wear it all day everyday.  It’s so versatile.  But my favorite tank top of all-time is the No Limits Tank.  It’s like 2 tops in 1 (a sports bra and a cute tank!)  I have one in every color…and so should you!

Personally, I go through workout socks like crazy.  They get sweaty pretty easily, and after a few months, they change from white to off-white.  YUCK.  I always ask for new workout socks in my stocking.

Or maybe you know someone who likes to lift weights (me, me!).  Like socks, weight lifting gloves can get pretty gnarly after a few months.  I nice new pair of gloves fit perfectly in my stocking (hint, hint.)

Do you or someone you know workout on a hard surface like a concrete or hardwood floor?  My workout room has cork flooring, but because of the high intensity exercises I perform, I use this Jump Mat everyday to help protect my knees, back, and ankles.

Why not give the gift of health this Christmas.

Shakeology is my all-time favorite protein shake.  I love it because not only is it full of healthy protein, but it also contains 5 servings of fruits and vegetables in just 1 little scoop!  I love the chocolate flavor because it tastes like dessert!

Shakeology can help you:

  1. Lose Weight
  2. Feel Energized
  3. Improve Digestion and Regularity
  4. Lower Cholesterol

I don’t know any other gift that can do all of those things!

What are some of your favorite fitness gifts?
