You may remember Jericho and Joel from the Les Mills Pump workouts! I absolutely loved their energy in those workouts. But when Beachbody and Les Mills ended their contract, they discontinued the Les Mills Pump and Les Mills Combat workouts.

If you’ve ever done one of the Les Mills Combat workouts, then you are familiar with the MMA style of workout! It’s fast, it’s fun, and it’s an amazing total body workout. Which is why I’m excited for another one of these workouts to be released this November.

How long is the program?

It’s a 30 day program. You’ll probably want to go through it twice since you’ll have learned the moves better after the first round.

What are the workouts like?

Each workout is broken into 3-minute “rounds” — just like a real boxing match. In those 3 minutes you’ll alternate between addictive Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai-inspired combinations, bodyweight training, and cardio spikes that kick your fat burn into overdrive. But all that punching and kicking doesn’t just burn calories. Each move, whether it’s a jab or a knee, is rotational, giving you a 360-degree core workout that will tighten up your entire midsection. All you have to do is hit it hard 3 minutes at a time and before you know it — you’re done!

There are 3 types of Core De Force workouts:

  1. Boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai combos
  2. Explosive cardio intervals
  3. Bodyweight training to sculpt and tone

How long are the workouts?

The workouts range from 30 – 45 minutes.

Is there a modifier?

Yes! The modifier is a real person who hasn’t hit her goal weight yet, but is doing the best she can. I find that very motivating, especially when I’m working to get better at a particular move.

 Is it low impact?

While there are some higher impact moves, the whole program is not high impact, and you can definitely modify the jumping parts.

Do I need equipment?

Nope! Your body is your equipment!

How much does it cost and what’s included?

The Core De Force base kit includes 4 MMA-style workouts, 2 bodyweight workouts, 2 core workouts, 1 active recovery workout, 1 quick before-bed stretch routine, a quick-start guide, a 30-day calendar, and an eating plan for $59.85.

What if I’ve never done a MMA-style workout?

No problem! Whether you love boxing-style workouts or have never tried them before, this program is for anyone.

Who is this program for?

If you are looking to get more toned and lean, then this program is perfect! You’ll get stronger overall from the bodyweight training and you’ll build up your conditioning with all the heart-pumping cardio. If you’re looking to BUILD muscle, then this probably isn’t the program for you. I would recommend something like Body Beast, ChaLEAN Extreme, or Hammer and Chisel for that.

Whether you already love to do kickboxing-style workouts, or if you’re a busy mom who just needs something quick and fun, this workout will benefit you. It’s a no nonsense workout that will get you results!

Plus, this workout is amazing for your core! Forget about crunches and sit-ups, those just wreak havoc with your back and neck. You’ll get a tightened and toned core without doing any crunches.
