Wow, I can’t believe it’s FEBRUARY 1st already!! The time is just flying by.

I have to ask you a question…

Did you make any New Year’s Resolutions? If so, are you sticking to them?

I know for many of us, we have the best intentions on January 1st to tighten up our nutrition after the holidays and get back into a regular workout routine. And we usually do great for the first couple of weeks! But then, the wheels slowly start falling off. Maybe we get too busy, maybe the cold weather gets us down, maybe we just don’t have the self motivation to continue the hard work.

No matter what reason has stopped you from continuing on, the bottom line is that you are not sticking to your resolutions. You either don’t know where you start, you don’t have the motivation to continue, or you don’t have someone to hold you accountable. Trust me when I say, I’ve BEEN there!

You see that girl sitting there slouched over? That was me 8 years ago.

That picture shows it all. My posture is slouched, my smile is not that big, and I look like I really don’t want my picture taken. I was tired all the time and I lacked the energy and confidence of a vibrant young mom!

But I had a fire burning inside of me. I NEVER wanted to look that way again. I was willing to do whatever it took to change the way I looked and felt about myself.

So I bought my first at home workout program, ChaLEAN Extreme. I invested in some weights (I think I even stole some from my parent’s house!) and I committed to the program for 90 days. Did I struggle at first? You bet I did. I couldn’t even do ONE pushup on my toes. I could barely make it through the cardio workouts without gasping for air. But the one thing I refused to do was give up! I was already working on changing myself, and I wasn’t going back to being that tired mom who had no confidence in herself.

Even though I had the desire to change, it wasn’t all glitter and rainbows. My body was sore most days and there were days I wanted to eat everything in site! But slowly, I began to gain that strength I needed to continue. I turned 1 pushup into 5 pushups, then 10 pushups, and more! I turned a 1 pound weight loss into 5 pounds, 10 pounds, 25 pounds, and eventually, 90 pounds.

Change didn’t happen overnight. It happened because I TRULY wanted to change and I embraced the hard work and dedication it took to get there.

When I reached my goal, I wanted to shout out to other women that they could do this too. That Shakeology and at home workouts DO WORK!! I didn’t have to drive to the gym everyday and put my kids in daycare, I didn’t have to workout in front of people. I could workout at the time that worked best for me! Plus, I had the exact program to follow, so no more guessing about what I should be doing – it was simply laid out for me to follow.

Dear Jen,
Your story is a true motivation for me. I know how it feels to be tired all the day and lacking confidence.” But I had a fire burning inside of me. I NEVER wanted to look that way again” that is how i feel.
